For a workshop studio with its own team of teachers we recommend Superota. You set up a series of workshops once, the system suggests a teacher for each edition and you pay a fixed monthly fee, however many seats you sell. Superota is made for studios that schedule a team. If you teach on your own and sell single seats, a simple calendar with online payment will do.

Below, Superota sits next to five systems that sell workshops online: Recras, Bookeo, SimplyBook.me, Regiondo and Eventbrite.

What did we look at?

A workshop studio sells seats on fixed dates, wants to know something about each participant beforehand and puts a teacher on every edition. That is what we checked, along with the price.

In November 2026 we read each provider’s pricing page, feature pages and, where needed, a help article. What we could not find there is marked “not found” in the table. It may still exist; the provider can tell you for sure. Superota is our own system. What we say about the others comes from their own site.

How much does booking software cost?

System Per booking Plan limit Price on own site
Superota none no limit on bookings; the price follows your active staff 119 euros a month for the admin, the office and two active staff members, 19 euros per extra active staff member
Bookeo no commission a maximum number of bookings per month and teachers per plan 10.95 to 89.95 euros a month
SimplyBook.me no transaction fees; above your limit you buy extra bookings, 4 dollars per 100 50 to 2,000 bookings and 1 to 30 providers, depending on the plan free to 59.90 euros a month on monthly billing
Recras 0.5 percent of the booking value excl. VAT the price follows your active users and your booking value 5 euros per active user a month, at least 25 euros
Regiondo small fee per online booking (amount not stated) not stated 59 or 99 euros a month, annual contract
Eventbrite ticketing fees per paid ticket, paid by the buyer by default (amount not on the pricing page) not stated free events cost nothing

With every system you also pay your payment provider, such as Stripe or Mollie. Superota states its amounts excluding VAT; the others do not always say.

With the other systems every booking counts somewhere: as a fee per booking or per ticket, or against the limit of your plan. With Superota only your team counts. You pay per active staff member, a staff member you switch off costs nothing and the number of bookings plays no part in the price.

Example: a pottery studio with six teachers sells twice as many seats in the weeks before the holidays as in July. With Superota it pays the same amount in both months, because only the six active teachers count.

Is there free booking software?

Yes, for those starting small. SimplyBook.me has a free plan with 50 bookings and one staff member. On Eventbrite you publish free events at no cost; for paid tickets Eventbrite charges ticketing fees, which the buyer pays by default.

Recras lets you try and set up the system at no cost. Bookeo gives you 30 days to try it for free, with no credit card.

Superota is there for the studio with a team. The admin, the office and two active staff members are in the base price, and the number of bookings does not affect the price. In the demo you can look around first.

Which system schedules your teachers?

Spreading six teachers over twenty editions a month means seeing who is free, who fits and who is on leave. That is where the systems drift furthest apart.

System Fixed dates Questions for guests Team and schedule
Superota a series creates the editions, with waiting list and groups your own questions per activity, for each participant or for the person who books; the teacher sees what is meant for them staffing suggestions based on skills, language and earlier lessons; own app with schedule and participants; time off requested in the app
Recras not found per booking process you choose which details to ask schedule with shifts linked to the number of bookings; staff pass on their availability; qualifications; hours overviews
Bookeo classes repeat by themselves on a set schedule; waiting list intake forms a teacher and a number of seats per class; teachers’ availability and time off
SimplyBook.me classes and events; a guest books a set of appointments in one go; waiting list intake forms, as an extra feature within your plan own working hours, days off and holidays per staff member
Regiondo not found not found staff and equipment scheduling
Eventbrite recurring events custom questions for the buyer or for every attendee not found

What does your workshop studio get with Superota?

  • A series in one go. You choose the days, how many weeks apart, the start time, the duration and the number of seats. The editions appear at once and every night the new dates are added. A new start time goes to all future editions; an edition with bookings only changes once you approve it.
  • A waiting list for full editions. When you switch the waiting list on, a guest joins it as soon as a date is full.
  • Questions that reach the teacher. Ask about experience, a preference or who is coming along, for each participant or for the person who books. Per question you choose whether the teacher sees the answer. An activity can copy all questions of another in one go.
  • Teachers on the editions. The staffing suggestion looks at skills, language and who already knows the guest. It also spreads the work fairly over the week. Every teacher sees their lessons, colleagues and participants in their own app. They request time off there, at least seven days ahead.
  • Groups within an edition. You split a large edition into groups, each with its own teacher.
  • Gift cards with a balance. The office issues a gift card with an amount, a validity and a code. The guest types the code on the last step. When the gift card covers everything due now, the booking is confirmed straight away.
  • Team outings in a company’s name. A company books with its VAT number and purchase order. The names of the participants can follow later, through the guest portal.
  • Your own branding. Your logo, colour and font appear on the booking pages, the guest portal, the staff app, the emails and the invoice. For a complete theme with your own CSS there is the Own brand extra.
  • Two languages. Guests book in Dutch or English, and each teacher picks the language of their app.
  • The invoice by itself. A fully paid booking gets an invoice with the VAT of your country, and your accountant gets a copy.

Which booking software fits your studio?

If your studio runs on a fixed calendar and a team of teachers, Superota fits best. The series, the questions, the schedule and the invoice all hang on the same booking. Your teachers know where they are needed and for whom. You know in advance what the system costs each month.

On the pricing page you work out what that means for your studio, with your own number of teachers.
